Join us for some fresh air while we continue to battle the various weeds. We could use all the help we can get because, unfortunately, the weeds in the areas we previously cleared are standing their ground. Literally!

During this work party we will continue to clear out more noxious weeds (Herb Robert, blackberry, bindweed, and ivy) near the parking lot, along 147th Street.

All necessary tools will be provided. Coffee, water, and light snacks also provided. Help us reduce waste by bringing a refillable bottle. People of all ages welcome, no experience is necessary.

Remember to dress for the weather with long sleeves and boots to protect you from brambles.

We’re also scheduled out to the end of the year with more work parties if you’re not able to join us in June.

Spring is around the corner, a perfect time to enjoy the outdoors. Won’t you join us for our upcoming work party?

Friends of Paramount volunteers continue to restore the Paramount Open Space forest. Join us and connect with your neighbors. People of all ages welcome, no experience is necessary. 

During this work party we will continue to clear out more invasives near the parking lot, along 147th Street. We also have a few trees to plant!

Our February work party was more rain than shine but we showed up and had a nice little troop of volunteers join us. We cleared another section of overgrown Himalayan blackberry bushes and English ivy.

We invite you to our upcoming work party! We’re excited to continue our restoration efforts at Paramount Open Space with the help of volunteer neighbors, friends, and family. People of all ages welcome as no experience is necessary. A great opportunity to meet your neighbors and build community!

Invasive Plant Removal

Help us continue to remove invasive plants and roots in preparation for future planting. We will expand out from the area that was cleared out, near the parking lot, at the previous two work parties. We may also tackle other sites within the park.
